Refund policy

Policy updated as of November 11th, 2023

Returns
For non-custom orders, returns are accepted within 60 calendar days of delivery confirmation. If more than 60 calendar days have gone by since the item was delivered, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.  

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, new and in the same condition that you received it, including all packaging. The items must be repackaged so that they are not damaged during transit back to Inspire Hardware. Returns shipped back to us in poly mailers, padded mailers, or bags will not be accepted. 

If items are not packaged into their original packaging exactly as packaged when new, Inspire Hardware reserves the right to deny the refund upon receipt. 

Customers must contact us and receive approval prior to starting a return. Returns that don't have prior approval for the return will not be eligible for a refund. Items must be shipped back using a return shipping label provided by inspire Hardware. 

Items must be shipped back to Inspire Hardware within 10 calendar days of Inspire Hardware confirming the return is within policy. 

A 20% restocking fee and the return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund if the refund is approved once the items are received. 

Custom orders are final sale. 

We do not accept multiple return requests from the same order, all items that the customer would like to return must be included in 1 request within the 60 calendar days. Additional return or exchange requests for the same order will be declined.

Shipping for Returns
The customer will be responsible for payment of shipping costs for returning item(s) to Inspire Hardware. Shipping costs are non-refundable. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Items must be shipped back using the return shipping label provided by inspire Hardware. 

Shipping insurance is the customer's responsibility. Inspire Hardware is not responsible for products lost in transit.

Refunds are processed once the item(s) are received by Inspire Hardware and confirmed they are in unused, sellable condition, including all packaging and screws/installation components (if applicable). 

Before return-shipping, products must be packed inside their protective sleeves and/or pouches, and then inside the individual boxes they came in. If products are received not inside their primary packaging, Inspire Hardware reserves the right to decline a refund. 

Returns shipped back to us in poly mailers, padded mailers, or bags will not be accepted. 

Refunds for Returns (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notifying you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, processed by Inspire Hardware within 2 weeks of receipt. This is an estimate and does not account for holiday closure times. We cannot control the time it takes for USPS or UPS to deliver the product, or for your bank or credit card company to post the refund.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
Please contact us at returns@inspirehardware.com for any issues or questions regarding your refund. 

We strive to process refunds within 2 weeks of receiving your authorized return. This is an estimate and does not account for holiday closure times. 

Some suggestions before contacting us: Check the return label tracking to see that Inspire Hardware has received the item, then check your bank account.

If inspire Hardware has confirmed your return has been processed, please contact your bank or credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges for Damaged/Defective Items
Exchanges are accepted within 60 calendar days of delivery confirmation. If more than 60 calendar days have gone by since the item was delivered, unfortunately we can’t offer an exchange.  

We replace items if they are defective. If you need to exchange an item, please submit a returns/exchanges form on our website or send us an email at returns@inspirehardware.com. We will then provide instructions for the exchange if made within 60 calendar days.

Exchanges due to defects are only available for the same item and within 60 calendar days of delivery.

If a custom order item is defective we will process the exchange, but custom order items will need to be produced again and will take the normal production time quoted.

We do not accept multiple returns or exchanges from the same order, all items that the customer would like to exchange or return must be included in 1 request within the calendar 60 days. Additional return or exchange requests for the same order will be declined.

Shipping for Exchanges of Damaged/Defective Items

Inspire Hardware will in good faith pay for standard shipping of items that are defective and determined not damaged by the customer. The exchange request is required to be made within the 60 day returns/exchanges window in order for Inspire Hardware to pay for the cost of return shipping of the defective items. 

Exchanges are processed and replacement items are shipped once the defective item(s) are received by Inspire Hardware.

We do not guarantee delivery times for exchanges, but we will do our best to process these in a timely manner, considering inventory availability at time the exchange is approved. 

Exchanges for Non-Defective Items (non-custom orders only)
Exchanges for non-defective items are accepted within 60 calendar days of delivery confirmation. If more than 60 calendar days have gone by since the item was delivered, unfortunately we can’t offer an exchange.  

Exchanges are available for different items if the items being exchanged are not damaged. However, we must receive the items being exchanged prior to sending out the new items.

A 20% restocking fee and the return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund if any refund due and approved once the items are received in new condition. 

The customer is responsible for any difference in cost for the new items. If the new items are a lower cost, Inspire Hardware will refund the difference. 

See shipping for exchanges of Non-Defective Items below to ensure you understand the shipping requirements for this kind of exchange. Items must be shipped back using a return shipping label provided by inspire Hardware. 

Custom orders are not eligible for exchanges.

Shipping for Exchanges of Non-Defective Items

The cost of the new items being shipped are also the responsibility of the customer. The customer can select any shipping speed available and will be billed upon confirmation of the exchange if expedited or deducted from any refund.

Final sale items (marked as final sale or custom orders)
Unfortunately final sale items cannot be refunded, returned, or exchanged. If an item is final sale it will be clearly marked as such on the website and/or confirmed for the customer in writing prior to order placement.

Custom orders are final and cannot be modified or canceled once payment is received.


Order Cancellations
For non-custom orders, if an order is canceled prior to being fulfilled, a 3% credit card processing fee will be deducted from your refund if the cancellation is approved

If an order has been fulfilled, it can no longer be canceled. Please refer to the returns section of this policy.

Custom orders are final and cannot be cancelled once payment is received.
