Bespoke Hardware
A familiar gesture. A piece that is yours.
Bespoke Hardware develops the piece itself: its projection, bar length, shape or an entirely new design. It is the part of our Custom Hardware service for a physical design that needs to change.
When the piece needs to change.
A pull that looks right may sit too close to a cabinet front for a comfortable grip. Another may need to fit existing holes or carry its proportions across a wider drawer. These constraints give the design a starting point: what needs to change, and what must remain.

What can shape the brief
- Cabinet and furniture pulls, from a small drawer to a wider front.
- Knobs with a considered silhouette, base and feel in the hand.
- Handles for doors and larger applications, with mounting and use reviewed.
- Related pieces that share a shape across different sizes.
The back of the piece deserves as much thought as the front.
The visible shape is only part of the design. Projection, finger clearance, mounting points and the material receiving the hardware determine how it will work.
Include existing hole spacing, panel thickness and any limits around the grip. For doors and appliances, bring the relevant application requirements so suitability can be reviewed with the project team.
Questions worth resolving early
Can an existing Inspire Hardware design be adapted?
An existing design can be a starting point. Send the product reference and the physical change you need; the construction and mounting arrangement determine which adaptations can be considered.
Can the project begin without a finished drawing?
A sketch, reference photograph or description can start the discussion. Include the purpose of the piece and the constraints already known. The technical details still need to be resolved before production.
Can a single special piece be considered?
Individual commissions are welcome for review. The production method, development work and quantity determine whether a request is practical and how it is priced.
