What is the Inspire approach to place cabinet hardware?

Use placement to draw the eye. A controlled shift in scale or centerline can emphasize an island or furniture piece, but the exception should be visibly purposeful.

What tells me the hardware placement is wrong?

Stop drilling and check every front made with the same mark or jig. A small error may be adjustable only if the base fully covers the hole and the corrected mounting remains sound; do not turn a round hole into an uncontrolled slot to make the piece appear aligned.

  • Centering mechanically without checking how it looks.
  • Crowding a pull against a panel edge.
  • Creating isolated exceptions with no hierarchy.

What can I do if hardware was drilled in the wrong place?

Compare an intentional backplate, an approved professional repair, a remade front, or a revised placement across the complete elevation. Show any visible repair before repeating it and correct the template before work continues.

  • Measure the error from the governing datum, not from another mistaken hole.
  • Inspect alignment from normal viewing distance and operate the hardware.
  • Document the accepted repair and reinspect the complete run.
