Sustainability in Shipping: The Future of Eco-Friendly Packaging at Inspire Hardware

In today's world, sustainability and environmentally-friendly practices are becoming increasingly important to consumers. This is especially true in the realm of custom cabinet hardware, where even the smallest details can make a big impact. At Inspire Hardware, we understand the importance of being mindful of the environment and are always looking for ways to reduce our impact. In this blog, we will be discussing the trends in sustainable packaging and our efforts to transition to fully sustainable packaging as soon as possible.

One trend that is becoming more popular in the world of packaging is the use of recyclable and compostable materials. At Inspire Hardware, we currently use fully recyclable and compostable tape and boxes, starch-based foam peanuts (these can completely break down in water or in compost), and recyclable and compostable shipping labels. Additionally, we are moving away from using plastic bags as we move toward biodegradable plastic, and we increasingly use recyclable tissue paper whenever possible. While we still use some styrofoam or cloth sleeves that are not sustainable, we are actively searching for alternative packing materials that will protect our products during shipping without increasing the cost to our customers.

Another trend in sustainable packaging is the use of carbon-neutral shipping providers. At Inspire Hardware, we believe in doing our part to reduce our carbon footprint, which is why we choose to use carbon-neutral shipping providers whenever possible. By doing so, we are able to offset the carbon emissions generated by our shipping process, making it more environmentally-friendly.

While it may take some time to fully transition to sustainable packaging, we are committed to finding eco-friendly alternatives that will not only protect our products during shipping, but also minimize our impact on the environment. At Inspire Hardware, we believe that small changes can make a big difference, and we are proud to be leading the way in sustainable packaging in the world of custom cabinet hardware.
