How to Scale Trusted Recommendations
A recommendation borrows weight from the person making it. That weight comes from relevant experience and a judgment that can be explained, not simply from the number of people listening. A useful advocate has enough freedom to describe the work honestly.

What makes someone well placed to recommend the work?
Relevant expertise and direct knowledge of the product or service establish a basis for the opinion. Samples, current specifications and context can support that understanding. The subject should fit the person's experience and audience. Paid placement, free product and other material relationships need clear treatment so the customer understands the circumstances of the recommendation.
How can the relationship grow without scripted praise?
Current evidence, useful updates and continued support for referred customers give a partner substance to discuss. The conclusion needs to remain independent. Tracking the recommendation through inquiry and outcome reveals whether it helps suitable customers make choices. Generic endorsements and large follower counts provide less insight than a clear explanation of where the work is appropriate.
What should happen when the message becomes misleading?
A placement needs to pause while the specific cause is addressed: an inaccurate claim, insufficient experience, an unclear relationship or a poor subject match. Misleading material should be corrected or removed. A suitable partnership may continue with better information and honest conclusions; an unsuitable one need not be made more persuasive. Confused referrals are evidence that the message is not doing its job.
