01
What does the AI need to understand before it begins?
A useful AI brief defines the objective, audience, source material, constraints, output form, examples, uncertainty, and review standard.
02
Which sources and constraints govern the answer?
- State the decision or deliverable the output must support.
- Provide authoritative context and distinguish facts from assumptions.
- Specify structure, tone, exclusions, questions, and what the system should flag instead of inventing.
03
What should the system do when information is missing?
- Ask for assumptions and missing information before a final answer.
- Work in stages: understand, propose, critique, revise, verify.
- Save the accepted brief beside the approved output.
04
What is the Inspire approach to brief ai clearly?
Treat the prompt as a project brief. A strong brief does not script every word; it gives the system enough direction to explore productively while preserving the point of view and constraints that matter.
05
How can I tell whether the brief—not the model—caused the poor result?
Compare the output with the task, audience, sources, constraints, examples, and acceptance test that were actually provided. If those were vague or contradictory, another prompt asking for “better” work will usually create another plausible variation.
- Asking for polish before defining the problem.
- Providing contradictory sources without naming which governs.
- Requesting certainty where the evidence is incomplete.
06
What should I do when AI produces fluent but unusable work?
Rewrite the brief in visible parts, provide only trusted source material, and ask for an output that can be checked. Review one representative result before scaling the task or connecting it to another action.
- Separate required facts from stylistic preferences.
- State what the model must not infer or invent.
- Turn every important correction into a reusable instruction or test.
